ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you’ll be greeted by a representative from The Alpine Club of Himalaya, who will assist you to your accommodation. After checking in at the hotel, you’ll have the remainder of the day free to explore the historic and vibrant city of Kathmandu at your leisure.
Day 2: Sightseeing around Kathmandu
Today, immerse yourself in the rich history and vibrant culture of Kathmandu, often referred to as the “city of glory.”
Begin your sightseeing journey at Kathmandu Durbar Square, the heart of religious and cultural life in the city. Here, you’ll encounter a plethora of ancient temples and palaces boasting magnificent architecture. Notable sights include Kal Bhairav, Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap, and Kumari Ghar, the residence of the Living Goddess.
Next, venture to Swoyambhunath Stupa, one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world. Perched atop a hill, it offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Kathmandu Valley and the surrounding mountain ranges to the north.
Continue your exploration with a visit to Pashupatinath Temple, a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated along the banks of the sacred Bagmati River, this sprawling temple complex is a significant pilgrimage site. While only Hindus are permitted inside the temple courtyard, tourists can observe the temple from the eastern side of the Bagmati River.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Bandipur
Today, after enjoying a hearty breakfast, you’ll embark on a journey to the bustling settlement of Bandipur, renowned as a living museum of Newari culture. With its splendid 18th-century architecture and medieval ambiance, Bandipur offers a captivating glimpse into the past.
As you travel along the zig-zag roads of Prithvi Highway, surrounded by lush woodlands of the central hills, you’ll be treated to picturesque scenery along the way. Upon reaching Bandipur and checking into your hotel, take some time to settle in before setting out to explore the charming settlement.
During your exploration, you’ll have the opportunity to go on short hikes to visit villages, temples, viewpoints, and mysterious caves, immersing yourself in the rich cultural and natural heritage that Bandipur has to offer.
Day 4: Bandipur to Pokhara
Start your day with a breathtaking view of clouds enveloping the landscape and snowy peaks in Bandipur. After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive through hills adorned with colorful settlements along the Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers. Upon reaching the city of lakes, explore its charm with a leisurely stroll around the bustling streets and scenic lakeshores.
Day 5: Sightseeing around Pokhara
After breakfast, embark on a tour to various attractions around Pokhara.
Sarangkot:
Begin your day with a trip to Sarangkot, a scenic vantage point nestled on a small hilltop. Famous for its stunning sunrise and sunset views, Sarangkot offers panoramic vistas of the Annapurna range and Machhapuchhre. Witness the mesmerizing sight of the sun’s rays painting the mountain peaks from Dhaulagiri to Annapurna II, along with a breathtaking view of the city and lakes below.
Davis Fall / Gupteshwar Gupha:
After spending time at Sarangkot, return for breakfast before heading to Davis Fall, also known as Devi’s Fall. This picturesque waterfall, located southwest of Pokhara airport, is steeped in local legend. Explore the mysterious beauty of the waterfall before visiting Gupteshwar Cave, known for its religious significance to Hindus. Marvel at the Shivalinga, a sacred symbol of Lord Shiva, within the depths of the cave.
World Peace Pagoda:
Conclude your day with a short drive to the World Peace Pagoda, situated atop Anadu Hill overlooking Phewa Lake. As you ascend to the pagoda, enjoy breathtaking views of the valley, serene lakes, and surrounding hill landscapes. Day 6: Pokhara to Lumbini
Today, depart from Pokhara for Lumbini, the sacred birthplace of Buddha, revered as one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Buddhists worldwide. At the heart of Lumbini lies the Maya Devi Temple, where Buddha was born, and the ancient Bodhi tree under which he attained enlightenment. Day 7: Lumbini to Chitwan
Upon your arrival at Sauraha Bus Stand, Tadi, or Bharatpur Airport (surcharge may apply), our staff will warmly welcome you. You will then be escorted to our lodge, where you will be treated to refreshments and receive a detailed briefing about our lodge and its amenities. Following this, you will be provided with an overview of the day’s activities, and your room will be assigned to you for your comfort and convenience.
Day 8: Chitwan Activities
At 07:00, embark on a canoe ride along the Rapti River, offering exceptional birdwatching opportunities and a chance to spot rare crocodile species like the Marsh Mugger and fish-eating Gharial. Following this, enjoy a jungle walk and witness elephant bathing on the return journey.
At 15:00, partake in a thrilling Jeep Safari, providing sightings of various wildlife including deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, monkeys, leopards, sloth bears, and if fortunate, the Royal Bengal Tiger. Explore the diverse habitats of Chitwan National Park, home to numerous smaller mammals.
Day 9: Drive to Nagarkot
Begin your journey early in the morning with a drive back to Kathmandu, followed by another scenic one-and-a-half-hour drive to the village of Nagarkot. Situated at an elevation of 2175 meters on a ridge, just 32 kilometers from Kathmandu, Nagarkot offers panoramic views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, unwind at your hotel and soak in the breathtaking vistas of endless hills and mountain ranges.
Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu and Airport Drop
Start your day early by waking up to witness the majestic sunrise and the clear, early morning views of the mountain ranges. From Dhaulagiri in the west to Mt. Everest and Kanchenjunga in the east, soak in the panoramic beauty of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, Shisha Pangma, Dorje Lakpa, and Gauri Shanker.
After experiencing this breathtaking sight, drive back to Kathmandu. Our staff will ensure that you reach the airport three hours before your flight time, allowing you plenty of time for check-in and other formalities before departure.
