Embark on an extraordinary 9-day expedition – the Tibet Tour with Everest Base Camp, a challenging yet rewarding journey through the captivating landscapes of Tibet. Your journey commences with a scenic drive from the vibrant city of Kathmandu to the serene town of Kyirong, nestled amidst majestic mountain vistas. As you traverse the winding roads, soak in the panoramic views of the Himalayas and anticipate the adventures that lie ahead.

From Kyirong, your path leads to Rongbuk, the gateway to an exhilarating hike that awaits you. Embark on a trek to the China side of Everest Base Camp, where you’ll be greeted by the awe-inspiring presence of the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest. Take in the majestic sight from its southern side, surrounded by a majestic panorama of towering peaks that stretch as far as the eye can see.

As you stand in the shadow of Everest, let the magnitude of this iconic mountain fill you with awe and wonder. This journey promises unforgettable experiences and unparalleled moments of adventure amidst the unparalleled beauty of Tibet.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Kathmandu to Kyirong

Embark on an early morning journey to the captivating Rasuwa Gadhi, the border that links Nepal and Tibet China. Along the way, immerse yourself in the enchanting vistas of the landscape, adorned with vibrant paddy fields, picturesque villages, and meandering rivers.

Upon reaching the Kerung border, complete the necessary immigration and customs formalities on both sides. Then, continue your expedition towards Kyirong, nestled amidst the breathtaking vistas of China.

Day 2: Kyirong to Rongbuk

As you bid farewell to Kyirong town, the journey unfolds across mesmerizing landscapes, winding through rugged terrains that unveil captivating vistas of snow-capped peaks, expansive valleys, and pristine meadows.

Upon reaching Rongbuk, the gateway to Everest Base Camp, you’ll find yourself standing in the shadow of the majestic Mount Everest. Following a brief refreshment break, embark on an exploration of the Everest Base Camp. Traverse the trail, immersing yourself in the rugged beauty of the Himalayas up close and personal.

After soaking in the mesmerizing views of Everest Base Camp, venture towards the Rongbuk Monastery. Here, witness the monks engaged in chanting prayers and performing rituals, adding to the spiritual ambiance of the surroundings. Later, return to your accommodation.

Day 3: Rongbuk to Shigatse

Embark on a picturesque journey to Shigatse after indulging in a delightful breakfast. Upon reaching Shigatse, delve into the cultural splendors by exploring the magnificent Tashi Lhunpo Monastery. This esteemed monastery holds the revered seat of the Panchen Lama and stands as the largest monastery in the Tsang region, nestled in the western part of Tibet. Day 4: Shigatse to Gyantse

Day 5: Sightseeing Lhasa

The tour commences with a visit to Sera Monastery, characterized by its white-washed walls and golden roofs. Next, proceed to Norbulingka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, followed by a visit to Jokhang Temple, another sacred site that reveals the profound mysteries of Tibetan Buddhism.

Afterward, explore the bustling market of Barkhor, immersing yourself in Tibetan culture, customs, and traditions as you wander through the vibrant streets. Conclude the day’s exploration and return to your accommodation.

Day 6: Sightseeing Lhasa

Today’s itinerary includes a visit to the iconic Potala Palace and the ancient Drepung Monastery. Situated atop a hill, the 17th-century Potala Palace offers breathtaking views of the city and houses the private quarters of the Dalai Lama, along with numerous grand staterooms and prayer halls. Built in the 14th century, Drepung Monastery once sheltered around 10,000 monks, although the number has since declined to a few hundred. After exploring these historic sites, return to your accommodation.

Day 7: Lhasa to Shegar

Day 8: Shegar to Kyirong

Day 9: Kyirong to Kathmandu

After an early breakfast, head towards Kathmandu, driving past the Rasuwa Gadi border and passing various settlements, endless hills of dense forest, and rapidly flowing rivers. Once you reach Kathmandu, head towards your hotel and check-in. Later in the evening, join in for a special dinner program with a cultural show to mark the end of your journey.
